Welcome to the new Education online area for Education in Argyll and Bute. These pages have been developed for the purpose of providing information on the work of Education and access to a range of resources that are used for administration and curricular purposes. Information on individual schools is available on the Argyll and Bute Council Website.

Argyll and Bute's Quality Improvement Team will make a major contribution to their areas of responsibility and future plans include links to the services and resources currently being developed for the Scottish Schools Digital network (SSDN).

This Education service area is an ideal vehicle to showcase all that is good within Argyll and Bute's education service. It is important to share effective practice and to learn from the experience and expertise of others. There are direct links to the work of the Quality Improvement team and support services in general. It is our intention to update this site on a regular basis, ensure that it is easy to use and has a focus on essential education information and up to date research evidence.

The provision of effective, high quality Education Services is of the highest priority to Argyll and Bute Council. I am sure that these web pages, providing as they do easy access to the Authority's Education Service Support services, and in particular to the work of the Quality Improvement Team, will be a useful and practical support for all those working in our schools as they strive to maintain and further improve the quality of our service.
