Determined to Succeed

Determined to Succeed (DtS) is the Scottish Government’s strategy for enterprise education. It aims to help Scotland’s young people develop self-confidence, self-reliance and ambition to achieve their goals – in work and in life.

Enterprise education is about business and education working together. The shared ambition is to change young people’s attitudes - to work and to life.

DtS is not simply another initiative. It’s here to stay. Joined up working between the Scottish Government, local authorities and the business community will give every young person in Scotland the chance to experience enterprise education. To become determined to succeed.

Argyll and Bute Council aspires to continue the development and embedding of Determined to Succeed across all Argyll and Bute schools.

David Chandler - QIO

David Chandler, Quality Improvement Officer, is responsible for overseeing the development of Determined to Succeed and More Choices More Chances across Argyll and Bute. David is based at Colgrain Area Education Office, Helensburgh and can be contacted on 01436-658984

Aileen Goodall - EDO - Enterprise

Aileen Goodall is currently working as the 16+ Learning Choices Lead Officer and is based within Dunoon Grammar School. Any Enterprise enquiries should be directed to David Chandler, Quality Improvement Officer, Enterprise (details above).

Sarah Mills - Senior Clerical Assistant, DtS

Sarah is the administrative support for the DtS Central Team. She is based at Colgrain Area Education Office, Helensburgh and can be contacted on 01436-658984.
