Journeys in Mid Argyll
CAST ran a programme of journeys in Mid Argyll which involved 341 pupils and was funded by the Scottish Arts Council. The project was held in conjunction with the NVA and NTS project ‘Half Life’ based around Kilmartin Glen.

The Big Draw 2007
In Argyll, The Big Draw saw 764 pupils from 26 schools spend a day with professional artists. This year’s artists were Lesley Burr, Jenny Soep and Jessica Wolfson.

Art weekend 2008
Following the success of our residential Art weekend for higher pupils in 2007, we decided to do it again with a few improvements and a larger group of budding young artists. The focus was on enhancing the skills required to attain good written paper results

Bookstart Rhymetime
Working with preschool age children, Cast has been co-delivering very successful rhymetime sessions as part of the recent YMI initiative to introduce babies and parents to music, rhyme and song.

Scottish Booktrust Literature Tour
Cast was awarded a grant from the Scottish Book Trust through their Live Literature Scotland scheme to cover most of the costs of sending author Alan Bissett on tour throughout Argyll & Bute in 8 secondary schools.

Lorn Weavers 2008

CAST bought in a show and workshop from the annual scotland-wide Puppet Animation Festival for several Argyll & Bute schools in spring 2008.

Tapestry Samba Concert
CAST arranged for 61 pupils from the Cowal area to take part in a concert featuring 1000 primary pupils at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow.
